Kleinschmidt is an engineering, environmental, and licensing consulting firm established in 1966. The organization has grown to its present size of over 115 employees in eight offices located in Pittsfield, ME; Liverpool, NY; Essex, CT; Strasburg, PA; Gainesville, VA; Birmingham, AL; Lexington, SC; and Grass Valley, CA. Kleinschmidt assists Ocean Farm Technologies (OFT) in the design and structural analysis of the Aquapod™, a unique containment system for marine finfish aquaculture, suited for open ocean aquaculture. Continued improvements in the design concepts and implementation have resulted in increasing containment volume while reducing costs.
